Ryan Baker and Rick Freeman will lead aftermarket and OEM sales for global mobile HVAC manufacturer
Seattle — Red Dot Corporation, an international leader in mobile heating and air conditioning, has promoted longtime sales managers, Ryan Baker and Rick Freeman, to serve as directors of their departments. In his role as director of OEM sales, Freeman will oversee strategic account development while leading his team in delivering innovative, tailored solutions for OEM customers. With more than 30 years of experience in the auto and manufacturing industries, he has developed a keen understanding of the OEM marketplace and what makes a successful sales strategy: building long-term relationships with his customers and continually identifying opportunities. Baker will serve as director of Red Dot’s aftermarket sales group, managing his team as they partner closely with distributors to service fleet owners and operators with premium medium- and heavy-duty HVAC systems and parts. With more than 25 years of experience in the industry, Baker’s strengths lie in his steadfast commitment, diligent follow-through, and dedication to supporting the aftermarket sales team in serving customers’ needs and growing business for dealers across the globe. “Having had the pleasure to work with both Rick and Ryan for more than two decades, I know we can count on them to position Red Dot for continued growth in the heavy-duty OEM marketplace and aftermarket sector,” said Pat Carroll, vice president of sales at Red Dot. “With the duo leading our sales departments, our customers can rest assured that they are collaborating with people who truly have their best interests in mind.” Freeman began his sales career with Tenneco Automotive in Monroe, Michigan, where he first gained experience in the heavy-duty vehicle industry. He then worked for Mack Trucks in Chicago before joining Red Dot’s sales team in Seattle in 1996, eventually leading the Caterpillar account and playing a pivotal role in expanding Red Dot’s global presence. Freeman spends his free time with his wife, Linna and their dog, Macho. He is also passionate about hiking, traveling and mountain climbing, having climbed Mounts Elbrus, Aconcagua, Fuji, Baker and Rainier. Baker has been married to his wife, Michele, a longtime educator and school principal, for 28 years. They have three children, — Jacob, Samuel and Annie — all of whom attend Iowa State University, and are the proud grandparents of 15-month-old Otto. Baker has been a lifelong student of military history and has walked numerous battlefields, including those of World War I, World War II and the American Civil War. His other hobbies include running, martial arts, hunting and completing projects on the family’s Southern Minnesota rural property. He has also served as an elder in his church and is currently in his second term as a school board member. For more information on Red Dot aftermarket and OEM sales, please visit www.reddotcorp.com. More at www.reddotcorp.com Seattle — Red Dot Corporation, an international leader in mobile heating and air conditioning, has announced the launch of its first all-electric, heavy-duty HVAC unit. The E-6100-0-24P is a turnkey HVAC system, ready to be installed on the roof of the vehicle’s cab. Because the entire system is self-contained, the operator simply needs to provide power for it to function. The unit’s main features include producing 300 CFM of airflow while achieving 15,000 BTUs per hour to keep heavy-duty vehicle operators comfortable and safe in the cab. “Many industries are making significant shifts toward energy-saving operations to reduce carbon emissions and increase efficiency. Red Dot recognized the need for more all-electric options in the heavy-duty mobile HVAC market, so our engineering team got to work,” explained Tim Oliphant, Red Dot’s director of engineering. “While our electric mobile HVAC system provides the unparalleled climate-controlled comfort and safety that operators expect from Red Dot, it can also help equipment owners simplify their HVAC systems.” Beyond providing a turnkey A/C solution, Red Dot’s E-6100 electric unit offers the added benefits of: · Quick and easy installation; · Removal of the compressor from the engine compartment; · Elimination of many potential leak points associated with hose runs; and · Significant reduction in refrigerant charge. The 24-volt electric units are available through Red Dot’s global dealer and regional warehousing network. Additionally, a 12-volt system is currently in development to meet a broader range of vehicles and will be available for purchase later this year. Distributors are invited to contact their Red Dot sales representatives for more information or to place an order. “For more than 50 years, Red Dot has been known in this business for the reliability and durability of our products,” said Pat Carroll, Red Dot’s vice president of sales and marketing. “With our newest development, we’ve taken the next step in helping heavy-duty fleets across industries realize even greater ROI.” To meet quality and performance standards, all of Red Dot’s products undergo rigorous testing in a state-of-the-art environmental test chamber, which analyzes every component from blower lifecycle to sound level.
