In his new role, Ender will lead Red Dot’s OEM sales and business development initiatives, driving growth with a focus on customer relationships, operational alignment, and identifying new market opportunities for the legacy brand.

Ender spent nearly 26 years at Eaton Corporation in sales and marketing leadership roles covering major OEM customers, as well as working closely with Boeing during his time with Eaton’s Aerospace division. Most recently, he helped to lead the Eaton Cummins joint venture to provide automated transmissions to the broader heavy-duty commercial vehicle market. His background spans both production and aftermarket sides of the business, giving him a well-rounded understanding of customer needs across industries.

Seattle – Red Dot Corporation, an international leader in mobile heating and air conditioning, has named John Beering to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Beering brings more than 30 years of experience as a transformational growth leader across a range of industries including commercial vehicle development, energy storage solutions and mobility equipment sales.

Beering replaces John Kaestle, who made significant contributions to Red Dot in his four years as chief executive officer, including leading the corporation through the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing the purchase and move to new manufacturing facilities in Memphis, TN and Puyallup, WA. Kaestle will continue his leadership with Red Dot as a member of the company’s board of directors.

In his new position, Beering will work closely with Red Dot’s board of directors, executives and team members to drive forward the strategic vision for the company, including optimizing Red Dot’s operations and manufacturing capabilities, generating momentum across each facility and cultivating relationships with new and existing customers.

Beering has served in a variety of leadership roles across the manufacturing and transportation verticals. By strengthening processes and keeping the company’s experienced workforce intact through the COVID pandemic, Beering expanded the organization’s footprint to serve individuals and commercial clients across 49 locations in 15 states. He also served as COO of Trojan Battery and senior vice president and general manager of commercial powertrain with Eaton Corp.

“The stage is really set for Red Dot to advance as a growth business, elevating our processes, team and culture so that we can move forward as the industry leader and support our OE and aftermarket customers as true partners,” Beering said. “This is also my first opportunity to work in an ESOP, and I'm excited to join this diverse and dedicated team of individuals who all place a sense of ownership over their work and their company.”

In addition to his leadership roles, Beering serves as a board member to the Purdue Industrial Engineering Advisory Council, the Purdue Acacia Building Association and as board chair of For the Children (Royal Family Kids). He holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering and a master’s degree in management from Purdue University.
In his free time, Beering enjoys reading, music and theater, golfing and traveling with Heather, his wife of 31 years. Together, they have two adult children and a golden retriever.

Puyallup, Wash. – This week, Red Dot Corporation, the leader in mobile HVAC systems and parts, has officially launched full-scale operations in its new headquarters located in Puyallup, Wash. The relocation from Tukwila, Wash., is part of Red Dot’s strategy to expand its labor force and improve manufacturing and operations in the Western U.S., enhancing its ability to serve OE and aftermarket customers throughout the Midwest and West Coast.
 
The maker of innovative heating and air conditioning systems for heavy-duty trucks and off-road vehicles has already relocated more than 300 team members, and plans to add new jobs in engineering, manufacturing and operations.
 
“We purposely chose Puyallup as our new base of operations due to the larger local labor market and its proximity to the Port of Tacoma, where we send and receive all long-distance shipments,” said Red Dot CEO John Kaestle. “Our existing Seattle-area team has been integral in crossing the finish line for our big headquarters move over the last year, and now we are focusing our efforts on recruitment.”

​The mobile HVAC leader’s purchase of a new Manufacturing and Distribution Center will increase its employee base in the Memphis area
 
Memphis, Tenn. – Today, Red Dot Corporation, the leader in mobile HVAC systems and parts, announced it is purchasing a Manufacturing and Distribution Center with 25 acres and nearly 300,000 square feet in Memphis, Tenn. The acquisition is part of Red Dot’s strategy to expand its manufacturing and operations in the Southeastern US, enhancing its ability to serve OE and aftermarket customers throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
 
The Seattle-based maker of innovative heating and air conditioning systems for heavy-duty trucks and off-road vehicles plans to relocate current team members in Memphis, and significantly add new jobs in engineering, manufacturing and operations.
 
“Our existing Memphis team has been amazing over the last 18 months,” said Red Dot CEO John Kaestle. “We have had an extreme increase in demand, and our team has been integral in fulfilling customer orders. This new location will allow us to build on the talented team already in place, while dedicating resources to our aftermarket distribution.”   
 
In addition to rebalancing production and expanding manufacturing capacity overall, the company will establish a dedicated facility to support fulfillment to aftermarket partners. Red Dot’s network of 200 distributors provide aftermarket parts and service to heavy-equipment fleets throughout North America.
 
Following renovations, Red Dot plans to relocate its existing workforce and ramp up to full operations at its new facilities, located in the President’s Island Area of Memphis, in 2022.
