Seattle — Red Dot Corporation, an international leader in mobile heating and air conditioning, has hired Fred Norris to serve as the organization’s quality manager. In this role, he will lead Red Dot’s quality improvement initiatives to help the company achieve world-class levels of quality control.
“We are honored to have Fred joining us here at Red Dot,” said Steve Lach, Red Dot’s Chief Operating Officer. “With more than 20 years of experience in complex manufacturing environments, as well as specialized training in Six Sigma principles, he will be an extraordinary asset to the company’s continuous improvement efforts.” Norris joins Red Dot with a wealth of experience in quality management, most recently at Issaquah-based Mechatronics, Inc., where he was responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and inspection requirements. “I am excited to be part of the team at Red Dot, a leader in developing mobile HVAC systems for heavy-duty vehicles,” said Norris. “I look forward to collaborating with the operations team to implement quality improvement initiatives that will strengthen Red Dot’s customer relationships and reinforce its position as the best in the industry.” Previously, Norris worked at PACCAR Inc. for more than ten years, where he earned his IASSC (International Association for Six Sigma Certification) Lean Six Sigma Black Belt ™ certification. There, he held several positions including supplier quality manager, superintendent of the Northwest distribution center, and unit manager of the Kenworth truck plant. Norris has also served in quality management roles at Philips, Panasonic Avionics and Starbucks Coffee Company. He holds a B.A. in economics from Washington State University.
