Seattle – Red Dot Corporation, an international leader in mobile heating and air conditioning, has named John Kaestle to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kaestle brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and distribution roles in over 45 countries and is a powerful, vocal advocate for strengthening an organization by investing in employees’ training and growth.

He replaces former CEO Nick Janus, who made significant contributions to Red Dot in his five years as CFO and chief executive, including leading transformative operational, financial, and employee engagement initiatives.

In his new position, Kaestle will work closely with the Red Dot board of directors continue driving the strategic vision for the company, building on Red Dot’s strong brand, innovative engineering, quality manufacturing, and dedication to serving as a true business partner to its customers.

“There is no doubt in our mind that John has the expertise and leadership to continue Red Dot’s legacy of commitment and excellence in serving OEM and aftermarket leaders in the heavy equipment industry,” said Steve Mance, chairman of Red Dot’s board of directors. “We are excited to welcome John, as we believe his talent and experience will be integral to our accelerated success.”

Kaestle has led successful businesses in paper and packaging, specialty chemicals, advanced materials, high recovery RO systems for naval warships and cruise vessels, fluoropolymers, membranes and water technologies, and automotive cabling. John has a strong technical background in engineered systems and applied materials.

He will focus on enhancing and refining Red Dot’s ability to provide clients with premium mobile HVAC systems and components, and work to leverage in-house engineering efforts to innovate new applications of the technology.

“I’m excited to be here at Red Dot – it’s a great company with immense potential,” Kaestle said. “With vision, hard work, and commitment, Red Dot will navigate a strong path to collective success for our team members and the customers we serve.”

In addition to his leadership roles, Kaestle is a recognized authority on manufacturing methods focusing on safety, quality, waste and cost reductions, and productivity. He is also a thought leader in TQM, Lean and ISO. Kaestle holds an MBA from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business.

Kaestle is married and he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and dog. He also enjoys traveling internationally and visiting his three children and two grandchildren.
